Enjoy western food

We ate an international meal in a small restaurant in 28th December. The restaurant located near Hu bei road. I went with my group. There were five my classmates and 3 grade 12 students went with me. We discussed about which restaurants we shall go. The grade 12 students advised us to a restaurant called “my place”. They told us there have traditional food. We could eat real western foods. They also told that we can feel the atmosphere from western country. So we decided to go to “my place”. First I get into “my place”. I don’t think it is a restaurant. It just has 4 small rooms for eating. It just likes a home. “My place”is a villa not a restaurant. I first think it would be a big restaurant and there are many people in it. In fact, like the name “my place”. The restaurant gives us a feeling of home, gives us a harmony feeling. We sat in a long desk. A narrow and long desk. We sat opposite. We have a good time eating and enjoying the western culture. We talked with each other about some western culture. After the meal, I think western food is further difference from Chinese. We only use forks and knives. The salad is quite good. It mixed with vinegar. The taste is really special. I like the special taste.
We all enjoyed the meal but the price of this meal is quite high.

Go to an exhibition with Ms. Hadley's class

We go to an exhibition called"Wu Wei shan cultural figures sculpture gallery of Nanjing museum". Most of these artwork are made by one artist Wu Wei Shan. All artwork are both traditionl and contemporary. The sculpture made by artist have many themes. It's a combine of traditional and contemporary. Some artworks made about famous person in the history. Some are modern artworks. The name of my favorite artwork called “Lao Zi get out of the strategic pass” The artwork was made in 2006. The artist used the shapes of a philosopher riding a black ox. Because it is a sculpture, the color will not be very colorful. It is only black with a little green. It is the color of bronze. The texture of the whole sculpture looks like the shapes of gully. It gives me a feeling of harmony. The artwork makes me feel very sanguine, also it make me think fondly of the Chinese culture. The artwork’s subject is about the theory that man is an integral part of nature. Like the shapes of ravince. Artist want the philosopher fit for the nature.The artwork makes me think about Chinese culture and literature. I think of a short history thousands years ago that is very prosperous about culture before Qin dynasty. It was split into many small countries. And many famous philosophers lived in this time. It was very wonderful for people’s thought and education. A famous man called Confucius was living In that time. The art work also has a history of Lao Zi. He wanted to go out to the western regions. And he couldn’t come back anymore. He believed in Taoism. He advocated that letting is to make the visitor recall the mysterious experience of Taoism. I like this artwork because this artwork because this artwork embodies Chinese culture. This artwork reminds me of the long-standing history of culture. The technique of this artwork attracts me because the textures are like shapes of gully. The artwork is an old style. It expresses a famous man. It is about the history, about the Chinese culture. The artwork creates a new style to show his idea. I am attracted from this creative style. I think other people might appreciate the artwork because they all really like history of old culture and the process of literature. There are also some very attractive artworks in the exhibition.
