Work experience

I did some volunteer works in a media company. It is a company which does albums and videos for weddings. They also help married couple to plan their wedding ceremony. The company has many different wedding veils. Couples can choose any style wedding veils as they want. There are western white wedding veils and Chinese traditional cheongsams. My job was to keep the store clean. The company has a facade of a shop in the Changbai Road. There are many wedding veils in it. Many consumers chose wedding veils for a long time. They dressed up many wedding veils and didn’t know what to wear. So I felt very busy because I need to clean up the clothes. There were probably 30 consumers came to the shop and asked for planning a wonderful wedding. So I need to clean up clothes several times. I had to sweep the floor as well, because it was my job, I had responsible to finish it. Because the company is very small, boss need to edit films which he filmed in a wedding, also he need to make wedding albums, accordingly he is much busier than me. My boss always doesn’t sleep until he finishes his work. I learned that we need cherish posts and devote wholeheartedly to work, it is very essential to my future life if I want to be a millionaire. I also learned how to be patient to consumers. Some consumers could annoy me because they didn’t know which wedding veils to wear, they tried many clothes and I need to clean up many times. I felt weary about their behaviors and I didn’t want to do any more, but boss told me consumers are our god. We need to treat them well even they make some mistakes and shout to our. The boss told me that if I want to be a successful man in the future, don’t forget to be kind to my consumers.

My job in the company was to clean up mass and sweep the floor. I think I can pay more attention to my job and work more effective by learning how to fold clothes. Interpersonal communication skills are important to my job, I need to communicate with consumers. I had to remember my duties whenever. I need to use my employability skill by doing many experiences. I think it is totally different between my study life and work in the society. I must consider the condition of my work when I am in society, but I feel free at school. I admire my boss. He told me many valuable skills for my future life. I am very grateful to him.

From this volunteer work, I learned consumers are my boss. I need to be pleasant to my boss.

Religious Service

I went to St Paul’s Church in Nanjing on Sunday 3^rd April. St Paul’s Church is located in Taiping south road near the Confucius Temple. I want to church with my mother and we attend in the second adoration at 9.50 am. I choose the Christian religion because it is one of the most famous regions in the world and many western country’s people believe in Christianity. I attended Christian events because I think know western beliefs can improve my knowledge. I can know what beliefs are like in the other countries.

After attending this event in the St Paul’s Church, I think there are totally different between Buddhism and Christianity. There are monks in a temple and it is the culture of Buddhism, however there are clergies in a church, it is the culture of Christianity. The major book of Christianity is Holy Bible and major book in Buddhism is diamond sutra. Most Chinese people embrace the Buddhism; we all know that we need to control our desires. I found it is interesting to listen to the story of Holy Bible. The clergy told us some stories of Holy Bible. He said Holy Bible has the most circulations of the world. There are one thousand million books were published in Nanjing in the past 20years. Bu the way, there are so many people came to the events that I couldn’t find a seat. I can see the way that there are more and more people believe in Christianity. I understood that we can’t kill anything even small insects.

Be a model in Fashion Show

We have a big project called “Fashion show”. We designed our own clothes in the past 2 months. Finally, we got a chance to show out beautiful cloth and efforts. I was chosen to be a model to show our group’s party cloth in the Fashion show on 27^th April. We drew very beautiful cloth but the real one is too tight to wear. So when I was waiting to show our cloth, I feel nervous and embarrassed. I afraid people sat around the stage will laugh to me about my unusual cloth. I look around and find many people with funny clothes. They all my classmate, when I saw them, I felt a little bit confident. I told to myself: they all wear strange clothes like me, you don’t need to shy any more, but it was my first time to stand on a big stage and face too much people. The show comes quickly, I find a student that we wear the similar clothes, so I asked him to walk together. He was nervous too. Accordingly, we walked in front of lots of people, but we walked with no behavior, we just walk as usual. When I jumped out of the stage, I told myself: it is over. After this performance, I learned to be more confident and to be more real like the one who is walk as usual

I think there will be more and more performances in the future. It is essential for me to take part in as many performances as I can.
